Estonian consul was detained in St. Petersburg

In St. Petersburg, Russian FSB officers detained the Estonian consul Mart Lyatte. He was caught red-handed while receiving classified materials.

According to the FSB DSP, measures will be taken against the diplomat in accordance with the norms of international law. So far, it has been noted that such activities “are incompatible with the status of a diplomatic worker and have a clear hostile character towards the Russian Federation.”

In April, the FSB announced the arrest in St. Petersburg of the Ukrainian consul, Alexander Sosonyuk, red-handed while receiving classified information from a Russian. He was later expelled from the Russian Federation.
