LEGEND racing MotoGP, Giacomo Agostini admits that he agrees with Marc Marquez’s opinion, who wonders why Valentino Rossi still racing when the age is not young anymore. Moreover, even now Valentino Rossi can be said to be no longer competitive.
This can be proven by Rossi’s achievement in MotoGP 2021, where the rider nicknamed The Doctor could only finish in 10th position as his best achievement, which happened at the Italian GP. The rest Rossi more often ended the race in 11th position or even had an accident.
With Rossi’s age who is now 42 years old, of course it is natural that the Italian racer has difficulty competing with his clearly much younger opponent. However, the thing that makes Agostini and Marquez wonder is what is the reason that makes Rossi to this day still want to appear in MotoGP.

Even though in appearance, Agostini and Marquez agreed that Rossi was not as great as before. Agostini admitted that when he felt he could only compete for third and fourth place and not first place, he felt it was time to quit racing.
Marquez is the same way, The Baby Alien wonders why when Rossi finishes in 15th position, but still has the desire to continue racing. What Marquez feels is also Agostini’s question.
“When I realized that I could only fight for third or fourth place, I decided to quit (from racing),” Agostini said, quoting from Speedweek, Tuesday (6/7/2021).
