FC St. Pauli has signed another new player. As the Hanseatic second division soccer team announced on Monday evening, midfielder Jackson Irvine is moving to Hamburg’s Millerntor. The 28-year-old Australian comes from the Scottish first division club Hibernian FC and is a free transfer. For the Australian national team, Irvine has scored five goals in 36 appearances and also provided seven assists.
“He is an absolute mentality player with a high willingness to run and has already gained international experience in his career,” said St. Paulis sports director Andreas Bornemann about the access. “Irvine is at home in various positions in midfield, so that we are creating significantly more opportunities with his commitment.”
