The prosecutor in New York accuses Donald Trump’s empire of tax offenses. Both the former president and his two sons make fun of it.

New York – Donald Trump likes to spit big tones. That is known. And his sons? They are no different. However, the question arises again and again for all of them whether they even know what they are doing. Your reaction to the indictment against the family empire and its chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg speaks volumes.

Donald Trump himself had nothing better to do at a rally in Sarasota, Florida on Saturday (July 3rd, 2021) than to more or less admit the tax offenses. “They take action against good, hard-working people because they don’t pay taxes on a company car. I don’t know, do you have to? Does anyone have an answer to that stuff? ”

Trump Organization charges: Donald Jr. admits tax offenses

However, it is the most normal thing in the world for Donald Trump to pay no taxes – or at least as little as possible. Since the public prosecutor’s office gained insight into his tax documents, it is now known that he has not paid any income tax at all for years. At some point, however, Donald Trump could no longer avoid reaching into his pocket. In 2016 and 2017, Trump, who always likes to boast about his billions, actually had to pay $ 750 each to the state.

And what do Trump’s sons say about the charges against Weisselberg and the family empire? Well, they too don’t care that it is better to keep silent in a criminal investigation case. After all, there is clear evidence that the Manhattan Attorney’s Office is pursuing far greater goals. Because Donald Trump’s children are or were all in leading positions in the Trump Organization. Ivanka Trump once served as Vice President – a position that Eric Trump now holds. And Donald Trump Jr. He is the managing director of the group.

Eric Trump leaves little room for doubt as to the guilt of the Trump organization

While Ivanka has remained silent so far, the two eldest sons have more or less admitted in various interviews that the indictment was right. In a 13-minute video that he posted on Facebook, Donald Trump Jr. announced that his father had paid the private school fees for Weisselberg’s grandchildren. “My father did that,” said Donald Jr. And why? Because he was just a “good guy”. Donald’s eldest son seems to completely ignore the fact that this is about allegations of tax crimes – whether out of forgetfulness, ignorance or simply stupidity, it is difficult to say.

And then Eric Trump also spoke up. And then he made things a little worse with his statements. He was so frank with the TV station Fox News that basically there are hardly any doubts about the guilt of the Trump Organization. First, Eric Trump criticized the Manhattan prosecutor for focusing on “$ 3.5 million to eliminate a political opponent” instead of tackling “rampant crime” in “disgusting” New York: “That’s worse as a banana republic. It’s really terrible. “

But then he could not help but face the allegations directly. Eric Trump denied the allegations and described the alleged kickbacks as nothing more than “perks”. However, this is exactly the point that is at stake here: The prosecutor argues that the Trump Organization compensated its CFO Weisselberg with these “perks” in order to avoid taxes. How one may now designate the wage-related benefits is completely irrelevant. Eric Trump has basically completely confirmed the prosecution’s view.

Der Guardian-Reporter Van Badham then directed Eric Trump on Twitter also to what he had actually done and said. “These things you admit are against the law. That makes it a crime. “(Christian Stör)
