Christian Eriksen praised the Danish footballers after Saturday’s triumph over the Czech Republic (2: 1) in the EURO 2020 quarterfinals.

According to the daily La Gazzetta dello Sport, Eriksen sent a short message to his teammates on the communication platform WhatsApp. “I’m proud of you,” he wrote.
“I think of Christian every day. He should be here with us, and we’re glad he’s alive. We still have him with us in our hearts. He was here with us today, and we’ll have him with us at Wembley.” said Danish coach Kasper Hjulmand after the quarter-final victory. Homeland England awaits his charges in Wednesday’s semifinals in London.
“Christian has always been an important part of the team and will remain so. We are still sorry that he cannot be here with us, but we are happy to make him happy.” said Midfielder Thomas Delaney, who opened the score in Baku in the 5th minute.
Before the quarterfinal match, the Czech team supported Eriksen by handing over captain Tomáš Souček to the Danes with a jersey with the name and number of the Inter Milan player signed by all representatives.

Eriksen collapsed in the 43rd minute of the opening match of Denmark at the European Championship 2020 with Finland (0: 1) and they had to revive him directly on the field.
