Chief of the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) Gatot Soebroto, Lieutenant General of the Indonesian Armed Forces Albertus Budi Sulistya, stated that the handling of the body of the former Minister of Information during the New Order era, Harmoko, using the Covid-19 protocol.
This was done after Harmoko was declared dead on Sunday (4/7), precisely at 20.22 WIB.
“What is clear is that we will stick with the Covid-19 protocol,” Budi said when contacted, Sunday (4/7).
Furthermore, Budi refused to explain about Harmoko’s illness. He emphasized that the explanation related to this was the authority of the family.
“I can’t explain [sakit Harmoko], later the family will explain,” he said.
Budi explained that Harmoko was declared dead some time after arriving at the ER Gatot Subroto Army Hospital.
Previously, Harmoko was declared dead on Sunday (4/7). The news of Harmoko’s death was confirmed by MPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo and MPR Golkar Party faction chairman Idris Laena.
Harmoko’s health was known to have deteriorated two years ago. He had undergone treatment at Medistra Hospital due to a lung infection in 2018.
