On Saturday, the RKI reported a seven-day incidence of 5.0 for Berlin. There were no new deaths.

Sunday 4th July: Incidence value drops below five
On Sunday, the corona incidence value in Berlin was 4.8 for the first time in 2021 below the 5 mark. Only two new infections were reported. There were no new deaths related to Covid-19.
Saturday 3rd July: Incidence drops by 0.1
On Saturday, the seven-day incidence in Berlin was 5.0 and thus lower than the day before and also below the previous week’s value. The number of new infections is 39. No deaths were recorded.
Friday July 2nd: The seven-day value continues to decline
The incidence in Berlin also fell again on Friday. The value is now 5.1. The number of new infections is 17. In addition, the health authorities registered a death in connection with Covid-19.
Thursday, July 1st: Incidence also drops fourth day
For the fourth day in a row, the seven-day incidence fell. It is 5.5 on Thursday. In addition, the RKI reports 47 new infections and one death related to Covid-19.
Wednesday June 30th: the incidence value continues to drop
Also on Wednesday the incidence value was 5.7 lower than the day before. In addition, 30 new infections were registered. The number of reported deaths related to Covid-19 is two.
Tuesday June 29th: incidence drops to 5.9
On Tuesday, the Robert Koch Institute for Berlin again reported a lower seven-day incidence. The value is currently 5.9. The number of new infections is 27 and there was another death.
Despite the low incidence – mathematicians anticipate an increase in infections
Berlin mathematicians urge caution in the case of excessive and drastic loosening, despite the currently low number of infections. For example, Dr. Tim Conrad from the Zuse Institute Berlin in the rbb program of Radioeins before the requirement to wear a mask indoors. Such a step could have dramatic consequences and lead to increasing numbers of infections in late summer.
The mathematician, who deals with models of future infection processes in his work, also appeals to travelers. “Basically there is little that speaks against traveling, but you just have to be careful (…)” and should keep your distance from other people and wear a mask.
Monday June 28th: Corona incidence remains unchanged
The seven-day incidence in Berlin remains unchanged at 6.5 on Monday compared to the previous day, according to the Robert Koch Institute. According to the RKI, there were no new infections and no deaths on Sunday. However, reports may be late due to the weekend.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 180,102 people in Berlin have tested positive for Covid-19. 3,556 of them died.
Sunday, June 27th: the incidence value is below 7
On Sunday, the Robert Koch Institute for Berlin reports a seven-day incidence of 6.5. The number of new infections is six. Fortunately, no new deaths were reported.
Saturday, June 26th: seven-day value decreased slightly
The RKI reported a lower corona incidence of 6.7 for Berlin on Saturday. The number of new infections is 25 and four new deaths have been reported.
Friday June 25th: incidence value at 7.1
On Friday, the Robert Koch Institute for Berlin reported a corona incidence of 7.1. The value has thus increased compared to the previous day, but with a view to Friday last week, the incidence has fallen.
The health authorities also registered 54 new infections and four deaths related to Covid-19.
Thursday June 24th: Corona incidence drops to 6.5
In Berlin, the seven-day incidence on Thursday is 6.5. 37 new infections were reported and there was another death related to Covid-19.
Wednesday, June 23: the seven-day value increases by 0.1
The incidence value in Berlin remains almost unchanged on Wednesday and is 7.2. The number of new infections is 69 and two new deaths have been recorded.
Tuesday June 22nd: the incidence value drops to 7.1
On Tuesday, the seven-day incidence according to the RKI in Berlin is only 7.1. The number of new infections registered is 42. Fortunately, no new deaths were known.
Monday, June 21: the seven-day value drops by 0.1
At the beginning of the week, the Robert Koch Institute for Berlin reports a slightly decreased seven-day incidence. The value is now 7.5. According to the RKI, the number of new infections is one. No new deaths were recorded.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 179,871 people in Berlin have tested positive for Covid-19. 3,545 of them died.
