Ministry of Health Continues to Strive and Monitor Oxygen Availability

JAKARTA, TRIBUNAMBON.COM – Director of Communicable Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, confirmed that the government will continue to seek and monitor the availability of oxygen, following reports from each hospital regarding oxygen stocks.

“We are trying and monitoring the availability (of oxygen cylinders),” said Nadia to Kompas.com, Sunday (4/7/2021).

Even so, he ensures that the availability of oxygen supply is still sufficient. Even so, we still have to watch out for the increasing number of Covid-19 patients.

In addition, oxygen cylinders are not only given to Covid-19 patients.

“So far, it is sufficient, but we must remain vigilant because we cannot predict the number of patients who must be treated,” he said.

Furthermore, Nadia asked the public not to stock up on oxygen at home so as not to cause a shortage in the field.

According to Nadia, many people need oxygen more for the safety of their souls.

“We have also asked for additional oxygen cylinder import faucets and asked the gas industry to prioritize oxygen production for health,” he said.

Previously reported, oxygen demand in some areas has increased.

One of them is at Dr Sardjito Hospital, Yogyakarta. These conditions made the stock of liquid oxygen (liquid oxygen) at Dr Sardjito Hospital on Saturday (3/7/2021) run low.
