The Balearic airports will register 561 flights this Sunday, of which 339 will be international and 222 national, according to data provided by Aena.
By islands, the Son Sant Joan airport in Palma expects a total of 378 flights (113 domestic); Ibiza, 132 (70 national), and Mahón, in Menorca, 51 flights (39 national).
Most of the 222 domestic flights scheduled for this day are connections with large cities, such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville and Bilbao. However, there are also scheduled flights to or from Alicante, Zaragoza, Santiago de Compostela and Malaga.
It should be remembered that since this Sunday the Government no longer requires as a requirement of access to the Balearic Islands from other autonomous communities a negative diagnostic test of COVID-19 for passengers who have overcome the disease or for those who have received at least 15 days before the trip the vaccine (either the first or second dose).
In addition, people who come from an autonomous community with a cumulative incidence of less than 60 also do not need a diagnostic test from this day on.
On the other hand, of the total of 339 international flights scheduled for this Sunday in the Islands, about 140 have their origin or destination in Germany. Mainly, it deals with connections with the cities of Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Munich and Berlin, among others.
In addition, among the international flights scheduled for this day, there have been some 15 connections with the United Kingdom, mainly with London, Manchester and Bristol. And, connections with other destinations, such as Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, etc.
