The Czech basketball players defeated Canada 103: 101 in the semifinals of the Olympic Games qualifying after extra time, and in the fight for Tokyo, Turkey and Greece are waiting for them on Monday night.
The Czechs led from the beginning of the match, they did not lose even once in the basic playing time. Another 44 seconds before the end of the fourth act, they led by nine points 94:85, but they lost the lead by an unprecedented collapse.
The shocked Czechs did not even manage to start the overtime, they lost 94:99, but then it was they who saved the lost duel. They equalized and the biggest star of the team, Tomáš Satoranský, decided with a heavy shot 1.8 seconds before the end.
Blake Schilb led the selection of coach Ronen Ginzburg by 31 points, Ondřej Balvín showed a double double thanks to 14 points and 19 rebounds.
