An Israeli cargo ship has been attacked in the Indian Ocean en route to the United Arab Emirates, Reuters quoted Al Mayadin television as saying tonight.
According to Lebanese pro-Iranian media, the attack was carried out with an unknown weapon.
Israeli defense sources confirmed the attack. They told Israeli television NN 12 that they were checking whether the vessel had been attacked by Iran today, BTA reported.
The cargo ship, which was en route from the Saudi city of Jeddah to the UAE, did not suffer any serious damage. No crew members were injured, unnamed Israeli sources said.
