NACO Netherlands Airport Consultants, the leader of the Dutch consortium, has been indicated as the executor of the master plan for the Central Communication Port – the company responsible for the construction of the new airport between Warsaw and Łódź informed on social media.
Master plan is a specialized study that will be a source of detailed data on, among others air traffic forecasts, dimensioning of infrastructure elements, construction staging and pre-design documentation.
“The Dutch company NACO, Netherlands Airport Consultants has been designated as the contractor of the Master Plan for the CPK” – informed the CPK company on LinkedIn. The value of the offer was approximately EUR 10 million and was lower than the assumed budget.
As communicated, all formalities must be completed before the end of the procedure – including in the appeal procedure. “Only after it will we be able to sign a contract with a contractor who will start the implementation of services” – it was reported.
Construction of the CPK. Without a master plan, you can’t move
The CPK spokesman, Konrad Majszyk, emphasized on Saturday that the master plan is “key development pre-design and strategic document specifying, inter alia, location, capacity as well as the scope and method of implementation of the CTH investment. ”He recalled that the company, together with strategic advisor, i.e. Incheon Airport, conducts internally some of the activities that have so far been within the scope of the master planner’s work.
As can be seen from the current schedules, the master plan delivery time is 13 months from signing the contract. In the scope of the contractor’s tasks, after the master plan has been prepared (the remaining 15 months), it will include support in the process of obtaining administrative approvals, updating the master plan documentation and participation in the initial design stage.
At the end of last year the tender for the contractor of the master plan was canceled by the CPK company, which was first reported by Business Insider Polska. The reason for this decision – as it was then explained – was the fact that none of the offers submitted by global companies met the formal criteria of the procedure, which was confirmed by the National Appeals Chamber. Bids in the procedure for the contractor of the master plan of the Central Communication Port were submitted by three consortia: the French-Spanish consortium ADP and IDOM, the Dutch NACO group and the German-Austrian ILF.
