Floating stage at the waterfront in Bremen: Kick-off with Element of Crime

With the band Element of Crime around singer, trumpeter and author Sven Regener, the first season of the lake stage on the waterfront opened on Friday evening. The tickets for the band’s performances, followed by a second on Saturday, were quickly sold out. Until August 22nd, the Seebühne wants to offer a colorful mix of pop, jazz and classical concerts, comedy, cabaret and children’s programs.

There are artists such as Max Raabe and the Palastorchester, Wolfgang Niedecken, Revolverheld, Kurt Krömer, Ute Lemper and Klaus Doldinger. But the Bremen scene will also be represented, including the Rathschor, the Fritz-Theater with its Schlager-Revue or the band Versengold. The project was initiated by the managing director of the Metropol-Theater, Jörn Meyer. The economic department is supporting the floating stage with 353,000 euros this year – this is intended to compensate for the fact that not all 3200 seats can be occupied due to hygiene regulations.
