During the night from Friday to Saturday, the emergency services rushed to Cardijnplein in Ostend. A woman (53) was stabbed there by her ex-boyfriend. She was transported in critical condition, had emergency surgery and is said to be stable in the meantime. The assailant was arrested nearby.
