The Hospital do Rócio, in Paraná, released the medical bulletin with the health status of the president of Coritiba, Renato Follador Jr., who is hospitalized with covid-19.
According to the document, the patient’s condition is extremely serious, due to a worsening in his condition in the last 24 hours, which presented hemodynamic instability.
Renato has been hospitalized since July 1st. After two days, he was admitted to the ICU, where he is now.
Also according to the bulletin, the representative of the Brazilian club is intubated, under sedation and using ECMO, with the support of hemodialysis and vasopressor medications.
A few months in the presidency
Renato Follador assumed the presidency of Coxa in December last year, after winning the election with 75% of the votes. He was a professional player at the club in the 1970s. In addition, he is the son of athlete Renatinho, who was champion for alviverde.
Away from the pitch, Follador pursued a career in the social security area and created the Paraná State Social Security system under Jaime Lerner’s administration. The director was also responsible for the creation and implementation of several Pension Funds, such as ParanaPrevidência, an institution that takes care of the pension system of Paraná civil servants, Fibra-Itaipu Binacional and the Paraná Multi-sponsored Pension Fund, of which he is president in the private sector.
