Jakarta (ANTARA) – The short video platform TikTok has now increased the maximum video duration to three minutes, from the initial limit of one minute.
“Creators are experienced at stringing multi-part stories together on TikTok, but we often hear from creators that they want a little more time to bring their cooking demos, elaborate beauty tutorials, educational lesson plans, and comedy sketches to life with TikTok’s creative tools,” said TikTok product manager Drew Kirchhoff.
“With longer videos, creators will have a canvas to create new or expanded content types on TikTok, with more flexibility and space.”

Extended video lengths will be available to all creators globally “in the coming weeks,” Kirchhoff said, though he noted that some creators have been able to experiment with the format.
Creators will receive a notification in their app once they are able to upload a longer video.
“With all the ways our community is redefining expression in less than 60 seconds, we love to see how people continue to entertain and inspire with just a few more seconds — and a world of creative possibilities,” says Kirchhoff.
