2021 – Star Wars: The Bad Batch – The 10 best characters | ScreenRant

Star Wars: The Bad Batch balances both new and familiar elements for the overarching franchise. Many stories have happened in the intervening period Revenge of the Sith and A new hope, but The bad batch is one of the few stories that takes place at the beginning of the empire.

The story takes place at this pivotal point in the war of stars timeline offers the possibility to integrate many well-known characters in a meaningful way. The bad batch from season 7 of, of course The Clone Wars are the stars of the show. Well-known supporting characters from other corners of the galaxy also play a prominent role in the series, along with some fascinating new characters.

10 Cid

The greasy cid is an entertaining character. Her history as an informant for the Jedi Order and her ongoing work in the criminal underworld allow her access to valuable information and mercenary assignments for the Bad Batch.

While the greedy cid is entertaining, she is more of a plot tool than a character. Their main purpose is to convey information and give the bad batch jobs that keep the story going. She fills this role perfectly, but isn’t as well developed as some of the other characters in the series.

9 Nala Se

Nala Se has proven to be a surprisingly compelling character in The bad batch. She helped cover up the truth about the clones’ inhibitor chips in season 6 of The Clone Wars. Im The bad batch, She has defied the Empire and the Kaminoan Prime Minister Lama Su to protect Omega. At the end of the first episode, she helps Bad Batch and Omega escape Kamino. She also hires Fennec Shand to keep Omega safe and out of Lama Su’s hands.

It is fascinating to see how Nala Se invested so much in protecting Omega until she defied her own people and the mighty empire. Her actions are in stark contrast to Lama Su, who wants Omega to be found only for her genetic material and then Omega to be killed. Nala Se’s actions are very different from those of the character who helped cover up the dark truth about the clones’ inhibitor chips.

8 Hunter

Hunter has evolved as a father figure and leader throughout the show. Of all the members of Bad Batch, he’s arguably the one who wrestles the most with what it means to be a clone now that the Clone Wars are over and the Empire is now taking control of the whole galaxy.

The show does a wonderful job of developing Hunter’s relationship with Omega. His character would benefit from more time spent concretizing his individual relationships with the other members of the Bad Batch. Also, Hunter’s improved skills are the least interesting in the group. His heightened senses and ability to pursue are not quite as specific or widely used as the enhancements from Wrecker, Crosshair, Tech, or Echo.

7 Fennek Shand

Favorite bounty hunter and assassin of The Mandalorians remains a force to be reckoned with The bad batch. Just like in The Mandalorians, she is ruthless and cunning. But their actions are guided by a sense of honor.

This makes her a fun and unique character to look at, especially when she collides with other formidable characters like Cad Bane and Clone Force 99. To know that she is alive and still strong all these years later The Mandalorians adds more intrigue to her story.

6 Cad Bane

Fans went mad when Cad Bane appeared on the show’s eighth episode. Everything from his stretched out costume to the music that accompanies him fits perfectly with the merciless, revolving bounty hunter.

For years fans have wondered what happened to Cad Bane and if they would ever see him again. As if the Bad Batch didn’t have enough enemies already, Cad Bane is another intimidating opponent. His willingness to take any job and work for everyone at the right price can also lead the Bad Batch to take a closer look at the work as mercenaries who take on all of the jobs Cid gives them.

5 Crosshair

The Arch of The Bad Batch in season 7 of The Clone Wars cemented Crosshair as the least likable member of Clone Force 99. The series takes advantage of this by turning Crosshair into a villain not only because of his personality but also because of his programming and modifications to his inhibitor chip.

The audience and the other members of the Bad Batch do not know whether Crosshair’s loyalty to the Empire and his campaign of revenge against his clone brothers is more ingrained in his personality or what was done to his inhibitor chip. This helped make Crosshair a more compelling character while serving as a very personal and formidable villain for the rest of the Bad Batch.

4 technology

Tech’s intellect and technical ability make him an indispensable member of Clone Force 99. His penchant for inadvertent withholding information, assuming everyone else already knows the information, was a source of humor on the show. His character works best on the series when paired and contrasted with other members of the Bad Batch.

The stark differences between him and Wrecker make the pair an unlikely but surprisingly effective duo. Tech and Echo have become a strong team and complement each other with their unique skills. Tech and Omega are a fun pairing too, as Omega is very curious about all things and Tech’s encyclopedic knowledge means he always has an answer. Sometimes the answer is more literal than what Omega is looking for, for example when she asked about the Clone Wars and he replies, “It was a primary objective that consisted of battles on different fronts.”

3 Echo

When it comes to being a fan favorite character, Echo has an edge as fans followed his story and invested in him long before the original Bad Batch members were even introduced. Echo’s development from a normal clone to a brutal field of torture and experimentation by the separatists and his decision to become part of the Bad Batch make him the most unique member of the group.

Echo is the one who often raises important ethical questions about what the bad batch is doing. He thinks about the bigger implications of what they’re doing, and it’s about more than just survival. He often steals the show, whether it’s a thought-provoking question or his humorous answer to Trace Martez asking if there’s an echo here. Echo is a fantastic character who deserves more attention on the show.

2 destroyer

Fans can’t help but appreciate Wrecker and his goofy, tenacious, and lovable attitude. He brings a lot of heart and humor to the show. It is touching to see his love for Omega and how he acts like a big brother to her.

While very different from his clone brothers, he cares a lot about them all and often feels like the glue that holds the group together. All of this makes it devastating and terrifying when Wrecker is momentarily controlled by his inhibitor chip, even more so than if it had happened to other members of the Bad Batch.

1 Omega

While The bad batch did an excellent job of further fleshing out the characters of The Clone Wars and other Star Wars stories, the original Omega character is the best on the series. She is deeply compassionate, empathetic, curious, and lovable. The awe and appreciation she has for the galaxy around her is delightful, as is her ability to learn and grow from her various experiences.

As a unique child, hunted down by dangerous enemies and cared for by soldiers who have unexpectedly become father figures, many inevitably compare her to grogu The Mandalorians. Grogu is a great character, but what makes Omega special is that she is at a point in her development where she has a lot of room for maneuver as a character. She makes her own decisions and learns to adapt to each new situation she encounters. She acts like a child while proving that she is wise beyond her years.
