Three young women, dressed in black, are standing in Würzburg Schönbornstrasse on Friday afternoon. Thoughtful – and deeply moved. All three hold a poster with the inscription “Würzburg mourns” in their hand. The women are part of the impressive human chain that comes together exactly one week after the knife attack on Barbarossaplatz to quietly commemorate the victims. Saskia Werner and Shana Manus saw and witnessed everything on June 25th because they live not far from the crime scene.
