Cargo plane makes emergency landing in Hawaii sea

A cargo plane has made a belly landing on the water off the coast of Honolulu, the capital of the American state of Hawaii. Shortly after takeoff, the Boeing 737 ran into problems. The aircraft tried to return, but did not make it to the airport.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement: “The pilots reported engine problems and attempted to return to Honolulu, but were forced to land on the water due to conditions.”

There were two people on board the plane. According to the FAA, they survived the emergency landing. They were rescued by the US Coast Guard.
