Manchester United Jadon Sancho has indeed agreed on the price of Jadon Sancho with Borussia Dortmund, but the transfer has not been completed. Precisely this goalkeeper who became United’s first official signing of the summer.
According to the Manchester Evening News, it is Tom Heaton who officially became the Red Devils’ first signing in the summer transfer window of 2021. The transfer was official after the 35-year-old goalkeeper signed a two-year contract.
“It is with great pleasure that Manchester United confirms the signing of Tom Heaton,” read a statement on Man United’s official website, confirming the transfer.

“The England international goalkeeper has agreed a contract until June 2023, with the option of an extension for another year.”
Heaton recruited Manchester United on a free transfer after his contract expired at Aston Villa. He is not a new face at Old Trafford having started his career in United’s academy, and spent 13 years at the club before leaving permanently in 2012. Prior to this he played for Cardiff City, Bristol City, Burnley and Aston Villa. Heaton also has 3 caps in the England national team.
“It’s an incredible feeling for me to have the opportunity to come back after spending 13 wonderful years here as a child, and I’m so excited to get started,” said Heaton.

Next season Tom Heaton will be a cover for Man United’s main goalkeeper, who alternately relied on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, namely Dean Henderson and David de Gea.
Manchester United himself had previously agreed on a nominal transfer of 72.9 million pounds to be able to bring Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund. But the 21-year-old winger’s move has not yet been fully completed. Jadon Sancho still has to undergo medical tests, which will only be carried out after his participation in the England national team in Euro 2020 will be completed.
