Civil marriages: in Bron, the mayor imposes a charter to avoid overflows

The mayor of Bron may have found the solution to avoid certain slippages during wedding ceremonies.

Couples must now sign a charter that imposes a number of obligations on them, including the ban on calling on a music group that would play in the town hall or around the establishment. Since the establishment of this charter, overflows have become rarer.

In the neighboring town of Décines-Charpieu, the mayor Laurence Fautra (Les Républicains), has to face rodeos almost every weekend.

She plans to toughen the rules imposed on newlyweds. “These rules must be respected, both in terms of public tranquility, road safety, respect for law enforcement, respect for elected officials, no ostentatious signs, whether flags or religious symbols” , emphasizes the city councilor.

In case of non-compliance with the rules, the ceremony is suspended and postponed to the following Monday, at 8 a.m.
