Director’s Cut Edition of Ghost of Tsushima will come to PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 on August 20th


Edition includes a new expansion – Iki Island – plus new features for the PlayStation®5 version such as haptic feedback from the DualSense™ wireless controller? and, among others, the synchronization of lip movements with Japanese folding

Lisbon, July 1, 2021 – Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announces the return of the acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima with the Director’s Cut Edition, which will be available on PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 starting on August 20th. Reservations will be available soon, both on PlayStation®Store and at regular retail outlets.

Both Director’s Cut Edition for PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 will feature the full original game, as well as all previously released content and the new Iki Island* expansion.

“We are excited to announce that a whole new chapter in Jin’s journey is about to arrive, and will take place in Iki. In this new story, Jin travels to the island to investigate rumors of the Mongolian presence, but quickly becomes involved in events with deeply personal interests that will force him to relive some traumatic moments from his past,” said Andrew Goldfarb, Communications Manager at Sucker Punch Productions , adding that, in addition to a new story and new characters, this new island will also include new environments to explore, new armor for Jin, new techniques, new types of enemies and much more.

PlayStation®5 gamers will also have the opportunity to enjoy new features such as: dynamic 4K resolution with 60 frames per second as target**, 3D audio***, lip movement synchronization with Japanese overdub, feedback haptic and adaptive triggers.

Additionally, all Ghost of Tsushima players will also have the opportunity to enjoy updates at launch that include new Photo Mode features and new accessibility options. New updates for the Legends **** cooperative online multiplayer mode will be released soon.
