One of the big Italian names in the Euro Cup, midfielder Manuel Locatelli, from Sassuolo, is drawing attention to the transfer market. Target of Juventus, who have already made a proposal for the athlete, Arsenal are another interested party. It was the manager of the green and black club who confirmed the offer.
– Arsenal made an offer for Locatelli. They’re having a hard time hiring you and that’s a big deal. Let’s see what happens – said Giovanni Carnevali, general manager of Sassuolo, to “Sky Sports”.
Juventus were the first club to try to settle with Locatelli, and have offered the player 30 million euros (178 million BRL), according to Italian media. The newspaper “Gazzetta dello Sport” says that Sassuolo wants to receive 40 million euros (237 million R $).
Also in the interview with the British broadcaster, Carnevali said negotiations with Arsenal are not over and Juventus are still struggling. The official said Sassuolo had a meeting scheduled with the old lady in the next few days to discuss the matter.
