Fabio Quartararo Talks About Retirement Valentino Rossi: He’s a Legend : Okezone Sports

The Doctor—Valentino Rossi’s nickname—is rumored to be leaving MotoGP before the 2021 season ends. The issue arose because the appearance of the Italian racer continued to decline.

Rossi was one of the great racers of his time. He won the world title nine times, seven of them in the MotoGP class.

However, his prowess in riding a motorcycle in the primary class has declined in recent years. He last won the world title in 2009.

In fact, he has not won the race since 2017. However, the 42-year-old racer has not decided to retire.

In MotoGP 2021 Rossi also has not had a spur. Rossi, who is now strengthening the Yamaha Petronas SRT team, is in 19th place in the standings with 17 points.

Rossi was then rumored to be retiring after the German MotoGP and the Dutch MotoGP in 2021. However, the racer has not announced his retirement either.

Responding to rumors of Valentino Rossi retiring, Fabio Quartararo did not want to speculate. However, he emphasized that his senior was a MotoGP legend.

“As for Valentino, I don’t want to get into his personal life, but I don’t think he needs a good reason to stop. Vale remains a legend in our sport and only he will decide his future.”

Meanwhile, Quartararo is ranked first in the 2021 MotoGP standings with 156 points. He was ahead of Johan Zarco and Francesco Bagnaia.
