The meeting took place in London at a tea party at Kew Gardens. Prince Harry, patron of WellChild, paid an unexpected visit and presented the awards.
Harry, Duke of Sussex, took the time to congratulate each winner on their prize. They also told the royal what impact the corona pandemic has had on their lives and that of their families. Harry also learned how the winners had received support from WellChild and each other through the WellChild Family Tree community.
The event, which was also attended by celebrities such as musicians Ed Sheeran and Ronnie Wood, presenter Amanda Holden, dancer AJ Pritchard and his wife Abby Quinnen, concluded with an acoustic performance by singer Anne-Marie.
