Mercato: Victorien Angban released by Metz, Angers extends Ismaël Traoré

Between Victorien Angban and FC Metz, it’s over. The Ivorian is released by the Metz club well before the end of his contract. As for Ismaël Traoré, he renews the adventure with the Angers SCO.

It was without Victorien Angban that FC Metz began preparations for the next season in Ligue 1. The club decided to part ways with the Ivorian midfielder two years from the end of his contract. The news was announced by his trainer Frédéric Antonetti. “Victorien Angban is gone and we are not going to replace him because we are going to trust a youngster who is already there,” he explained without giving more details. Victorien Angban arrived at the Garnets in 2018 in the form of a loan which should end in 2023.

Unlike the 24-year-old player, his compatriot Ismaël Traoré still enjoys the confidence of the SCO d’Angers. The Franco-Ivorian has extended his stay with the Black and White for an additional season. The 34-year-old center-back has achieved a goal in his new contract signed last year with an optional season. He should have at least 20 starts this past season. A goal achieved for the player who arrived in 2015 and became captain of the Black and White club. Ismael Traoré is preparing to start his seventh season with the Scoïstes.
