1,500 households will receive a new postcode on 1 October

Five new post offices will be created on 1 October. These are 7924 Austafjord, 8385 Mølnarodden, 9045 Lakselvbukt, 9762 Kamøyvær and 9766 Sarnes.

In addition, the cities of Molde, Bodø and Mo i Rana get a finer division with an extra postcode each: 6020 Molde, 8025 Bodø and 8611 Mo i Rana.

– Changes to postcodes take place at Posten’s initiative, but can also be changed following proposals from municipalities, organizations or charities. The changes will contribute to as correct and efficient mail distribution as possible, says press manager Kenneth Tjønndal Pettersen in Norway Post.
