A woman is attacked in the Main-Kinzig district. The act bears striking resemblances to a robbery that recently took place not far away.

Steinau – On Monday evening (June 28th, 2021) a woman was attacked in a bank vestibule in Steinau (Main-Kinzig-Kreis). The case is very similar to a robbery in Schlüchtern at the beginning of June 2021. It may be a repeat offender, as the Offenbach police announced.

The 58-year-old woman is employed in a beverage store. She wanted to deposit the proceeds at an ATM in the bank on Brothers-Grimm-Strasse around 7:20 p.m. But in the anteroom of the bank she was suddenly attacked from behind. A man sprayed her with pepper spray and snatched the black wallet from her. Then the perpetrator fled on foot.

The case in Steinau shows striking similarities with an attack in Schlüchtern on June 9th. Back then, too, a woman was attacked in a bank when she wanted to deposit income. The police suspect that there is a repeat offender in the Main-Kinzig district.

The fugitive perpetrator is said to be between 26 and 30 years old, he wore a dark hoodie and a beard. The police will receive information on 06181 100-123. (spr)
