The first edition of the “Huawei ICT Academy” (the Huawei Academy for Information and Communication Technologies), a program designed to open a door for Beninese students to the world of high technology, was officially launched on Monday. afternoon in Cotonou.
This program, which will cover five public and private universities in Benin, will not only prepare Beninese students for the job market, but also provide the country with ICT talents and make it more competitive in this field in Africa.
It consists of several modules, including, among others, the training and certification of teachers by Huawei, the delivery of certification courses to students and free access for them to the certification exam.
The CEO of Huawei Benin, Wang Jun, said that this program meets the ambitions of Benin President Patrice Talon to position the country as the digital platform of West Africa and to make ICT the main lever for its development. socioeconomic.
