MONITOR, Jakarta – The government is promoting a mass vaccination program. The target is that by August all people will have received the Covid-19 vaccine. The government’s seriousness can be seen from the number of vaccine doses of 1 million per day used.
To support vaccination in Jakarta, Anies Baswedan also invites the public to vaccinate through his experience. The governor of DKI Jakarta said that he was vaccinated against the Oxford-AstraZeneca type.
“Alhamdulillah, I have also been vaccinated. My experience is vaccines with Oxford-AstraZeneca,” said Anies Baswedan, in a statement on the official Instagram page.
Anies also admitted that he experienced side effects after being vaccinated, including experiencing aches in the joints, especially the arms. But he made sure the symptoms he found were not accompanied by a cold or cough.
“Were there any symptoms afterward? Yes, there is, namely soreness in the arms and -as research findings and doctors say – there is a feeling of stiffness in the joints. Roughly similar to flu symptoms, but without a runny nose and cough,” explained the former Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.
But people don’t need to panic. Anies suggested that if you get these effects after being vaccinated, you should take lowering drugs. He also emphasized that vaccination is an effort to protect yourself and those closest to you.
“It is enough to take the paracetamol that was given during the vaccine, thank God the discomfort is reduced. It lasted for about 1.5 days, after which all the symptoms disappeared and returned to normal,” he concluded.
