Officials in Russia are no longer asking for people, but demanding to be vaccinated against Covid-19, because the damage caused by the pandemic to the health system is approaching a critical limit – 150,000 patients are already being treated in hospitals and the number of deaths is growing every day, TV3 News reports.
The last 24 hours in Russia have had the highest death toll since the pandemic began in spring 2020. 652 people have lost their lives, but tens of thousands are fighting in hospitals with varying degrees of success. Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that in total there are about 180,000 beds in the country for Covid patients – 150,000 are currently occupied.
