In April, Van Mol experienced her last broadcast as a news anchor, but she did not know that yet. Heidi and Jan thought that last time deserved more bells and whistles. “We want a clear latest news broadcast from Birgit Van Mol and we are going to fix that now,” Heidi told listeners. Not much later, she passed the floor to Birgit, who then read the news at half past four.

Heidi added after the news broadcast that she wanted to thank Birgit on behalf of all listeners for her top work as a news anchor at VTM. “We wish you a very bright future with all your new plans.” Birgit clarified that she will continue to work for VTM and will certainly be seen, including in ‘Telefacts Zomer’ and a new interview series.
