Nationalgeographic.co.id-A Education recently confirmed that thevolcano in Indonesia are among the most dangerous in the world. In Education this is the research team geology International conducted a chemical analysis of small minerals from lava in Bali and Java.

From the results of the analysis, the researchers involved then found new clues. They now have a better understanding of how the Earth’s mantle is structured in Java and Bali and how magma there changed before the eruption. Report Education this they have published in the journal Nature Communications on June 24, 2021.

Frances Deegan, researcher from the Department of Earth Sciences at Uppsala University who is the lead author on Education said, below the results Education This completes the knowledge related to the composition of the earth’s mantle that is beneath the Indonesian soil.

“Magma formed in the mantle, and the composition of the mantle beneath Indonesia was only partially known. Having a better knowledge of the Earth’s mantle in this region allowed us to create more reliable models for the chemical changes of magma as it penetrated the crust there, which is 20 cm thick. up to 30 kilometers, before the eruption occurred,” said Deegan, as quoted on Uppsala University’s official website.
