A storm with hurricane winds, torrential rains and hail hit the extreme western parts of Germany at night, BNR reports.
In Stuttgart alone, the fire department has registered more than 300 accidents. This morning, a number of tunnels and subways in the state capital of Baden-Württemberg were flooded by torrential rain. Public transport stopped briefly. During a performance last night, the city’s opera house was hit by a hurricane that blew away part of the roof.
In Bavaria, Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia, in addition to flooded streets and roads, there are fallen trees that have cut off the rail network.
After a heat wave last week with temperatures above 35 degrees, the meteorological service in Germany warned of thunderstorms, hurricane winds, torrential rains and hail in the coming days.

There were also strong storms in our country over the weekend in different cities of the country. Heavy hail caused serious material damage in Asenovgrad. Hundreds of cars were damaged, and the damage to agricultural products in some of the villages near Asenovgrad was not small.
The reason for the great damage turned out to be the fact that there was ban on breaking cloudsbecause there were airports near the city.
“For more than 40 minutes we have no effect on the hail cell,” explained Nikola Kovachev, director of the regional hail control structure.
