Authorities in the Caribbean and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean have launched an investigation, after a boat with 20 dead people, including two children, drifted ashore on the archipelago. It writes The Guardian.
According to the newspaper, there is no indication that anything criminal has taken place, and investigators are now trying to get to the bottom of what may have happened.
The drifting boat was discovered by fishermen on Thursday.
Police Inspector Trevor Botting says that the boat probably belongs outside the Caribbean, and that it probably had a different destination than the Turks and Caicos Islands.
Police are now trying to identify the dead.
