Huge disillusionment in Bucharest! Lthe French team, reigning world champion, was eliminated from Euro 2021 by Switzerland after a crazy game and a penalty shootout.
The Blues, battered at the score (0-1), had nevertheless subsequently equalized, before taking back control of the meeting thanks to a double from Benzema then a superb skylight by Paul Pogba (3-1).
But the Nati came back to equality just before the end of regulation time (3-3) and pushed France into overtime. Before beating her on penalties (4-5).
