The agenda of a president – as we know – is always full of commitments. Franck Kessie, for example, leader of Pioli’s Milan, ended the last season as the most used outfield player. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the new season of the Ivorian will begin in a few days, when he will fly to Japan for the Olympics. And at the beginning of 2022 he will leave Milan for Cameroon, home to the 33rd edition of the African Cup.
NO MEETING – In short, two more competitions for the workaholic Kessie. Coach Patrice Beaumelle has included him as an over-quota in the Ivory Coast squad list for the Tokyo Games, which will be played from 22 July to 8 August. Earlier he had asked for Franck’s availability, which was immediately granted. As well as the player was then prompt in informing the club. Milan – this is the company line – would never have prevented his participation in the event: the club said they were calm even on the preparation front, that Kessie will jump and then join the race.
RENEWAL – During the absence of the midfielder, the Rossoneri managers and his agent will continue the negotiations for the renewal. Franck, who currently earns 2 million and 200 thousand euros, asks for 6; Milan’s offer, to date, is much lower and is around 4 million plus bonuses. But there is time to close the distances. One thing is certain: the extension of Kessie is a priority of the AC Milan club.
