Lionel Messi et al Win 4-1, Winner of Group A

Argentina crushed Bolivia in the 2021 Copa America continued. Lionel Messi et al won 4-1, and made sure they won Group A.

Playing at the Pantalan Arena, Cuiaba, Brazil, Tuesday (29/6) morning WIB, Argentina appeared dominant over Bolivia. Lionel Scaloni’s men are three goals ahead since the first half.

Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez opened a series of goals for Argentina in the 6th minute. Utilizing Messi’s breakthrough bait, Gomez was able to strike the ball into Carlos Lampe’s goal.

Argentina doubled the score to 2-0 in the 33rd minute. It was Messi’s turn to write his name on the scoreboard through a penalty, after Diego Bejarano had violated Papu. La Pulga had no trouble getting the ball into the Bolivian goal.

Bolivia is not without resistance. In the 39th minute, Jeyson Chura had an experiment, but his efforts could still be muffled by Franco Armani.

Three minutes before the normal time of the first half was complete, Messi scored again, after being able to maximize Sergio Aguero’s bait. Team Tango were 3-0 up at half-time.

In the second half, Bolivia had reduced the score to 1-3. Erwin Saavedra found the net for Argentina in the 61st minute.

However, Argentina could immediately widen its lead again four minutes later. This time it was Lautaro Martinez who found the net for Bolivia. The score becomes 4-1.

In the remaining time of the match, Martinez threatened the Bolivian goal a lot but none of them resulted in a goal. While Bolivia itself could only press in injury time, which could not prevent them from defeat. Argentina’s 4-1 victory lasted until the long whistle sounded.

Victory ensured Argentina packed 10 points from 4 matches and won Group A, followed by Uruguay (7), Paraguay (6), and Chile (5). Furthermore, Messi et al will face Ecuador in the quarterfinals.
