a few steps from a health agreement

According to the APTS representative of Montérégie-Est Joël Bélanger, there are only a few points “to be resolved”.

In fact the union received this offer last Friday and therefore negotiations are continuing.

Details of the future employment contract cannot be disclosed at this stage.

The important points relate in particular to wages and retirement.

Mr. Bélanger explains that the members must vote for or against this last employer offer. The date of the next assembly is to be determined.

The APTS still does not have a collective agreement and has been negotiating with the provincial government for over a year.

Employees went on strike for four days in June.

The group represents laboratory technicians and psychologists from the public network and has 9,000 members in Montérégie.
