Zhurong China Record Voice from Mars

BEIJING, iNews.id – China has sent rover robots to Mars. Now, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) has shared a new video, featuring audio on Mars for the first time.

The vote was picked up by the Zhurong rover and rated as the main objective of China’s Tianwen-1 mission to the Red Planet. The Zhurong rover was launched from Earth on July 23, 2020 and arrived on Mars in the spring of 2021.

The vehicle crossed a large crater known as Utopia Planitia, approximately 1,800 kilometers (1,118 mi) northeast of NASA’s Perseverance rover.

“The Mars orbiter and rover are doing very well, smoothly and safely providing reports from Mars, and sending great blessings,” said CBSA, in an official statement, quoted from Mashable, Monday (28/6/2021).

Zhurong sent images of diverse landscapes with underground ice, volcanoes, sand dunes, and more. Utopia Planitia was chosen by the CNSA as the site of Zhurong’s exploration for about 90 days, and is also a continuation of humanity’s search for signs of ancient life.
