Tesla will recall more than 285,000 cars in China affected by software problems

Tesla will contact affected users to remotely update automotive software for free, the regulator explains.

This recall covers Model 3 and Model Y cars.

The Chinese market regulator explains that problems have been identified in the car’s cruise control system, which is an essential part of the assisted driving function.

Tesla has faced a number of ills in China in recent months, including human complaints about the quality of the company’s cars and services.
