Bayern Munich II beat FV Ravensburg 6-1 in their final friendly before leaving for a week-long training camp. The Oberliga club was no match for the young Bavarians on the day.
The match was highlighted by dual hat tricks from Nemanja Motika and Armindo Sieb. Overall it was a solid performance from Bayern II, but not much is to be gleaned from a friendly against an Oberliga team.
Bayern XI: Schenk (46th Mayer) – Brückner (63rd Salihamidzic), Lawrence (63rd Janitzek), Marusic (63rd Sanyang) – Rhein (87th Brückner), Vidovic, Scott (63rd Kabadayi), Kern (46th Metu) – Kabadayi (46th Herrmann), sieve, motika
Now, Bayern II will spend the next week in Allgäu for a week-long training camp where Martin Demichelis and Danny Schwarz have a intense period of training ahead of the team. They will conclude the camp against Swiss first division club St. Gallen.
There’s some good news for Bayern fans: Timo Kern returned to the lineup for the first time since picking up an injury in the spring as Bayern II were wrapping up their 3.Liga season. Also, Malik Tillman returned to training after tearing his ACL last year.
Bad news: Lukas Schneller (foot), Maximilian Welzmüller (adductor), and Leon Fust (foot) will be out for a while after picking up injuries in training to start training. They’ll remain behind in Munich for rehab.
