United States with air strikes in Iraq and Syria
The United States has carried out new airstrikes in Iraq and Syria, and is looking for facilities that, according to the Pentagon, are used by Iranian-backed insurgents. The Pentagon writes in one press release that the attacks were ordered by President Joe Biden, and were carried out on Sunday night.
According to the Pentagon, the target of the attacks was facilities used by insurgents backed by Iran. The attacks took place in the border areas between Iraq and Syria.
“The targets were selected because these facilities are used by Iranian – backed insurgents who carry out attacks on US personnel and facilities in Iraq,” the Pentagon wrote.
According to the Americans, among other things, weapons depots were attacked. There must have been two targets in Syria and one in Iraq. (NTB)
