Argentina adds more than 18 thousand new infections and 338 deaths since yesterday

Argentina added this Saturday 18,555 new infections of coronavirus to its total victims, which so far are 4,393,142, while 338 deaths in 24 hours put the deaths caused by the disease to 92,317.

In the province of Buenos Aires, 6,048 cases were reported, while in the central province of Córdoba 2,141 positives were recorded, in the province of Santa Fe 1,828 were reported and 1,343 contagions were registered in the capital of Argentina.

According to the official report, there are 4.01 million patients who have already been discharged, while the number of people with a confirmed diagnosis of covid-19 who remain admitted to intensive care units was 6,998 this Saturday, after the record of 7,969 on June 14.

While facing the second wave of covid-19, Argentina, with about 45 million inhabitants, continues with its vaccination campaign against the coronavirus, which began at the end of last December. A Latam Chile flight with a batch of 1,181,500 doses of the AstraZénca vaccine arrived this Friday at 15:15 local time at the Ezeiza International Airport, from the US, with which Argentina reached 24,997,645 doses purchased from various suppliers, according to official information.

According to official data released this Saturday, so far 19.7 million doses have been applied. A total of 15,787,779 million people received the first dose of the vaccine, while 3,908,808 million people were already inoculated with the second dose.
