Viewing the picture by Sabine Altorfer: Car tracks in the museum

Sculpture is booming. The museum people as well as the public seem to have a desire for material things, only things that can be experienced in real terms, that are spatial. Katinka Bock’s work hit me at the Kunstmuseum Winterthur.

When driving a car, the dashed center lines often unconsciously but safely guide us through curves or straight lines. I had the same feeling at the Kunstmuseum Winterthur when I saw this guideline, which is laid through the venerable classical halls and classics of the museum.
