– There were 22 infected yesterday, while today there are 26 cases of infection, says major and spokesman in the Army, Eirik Skomedal.

18 of the cases are in Bardufoss, five are in Skjold and three are in Setermoen. All camps are located in Inner Troms.

– All cases originate from the outbreak in Tromsø last weekend, says Skomedal.

All the soldiers in Troms have been denied leave this weekend due to the outbreak in the camp.

Outbreaks at nightclubs

– We have had an outbreak over a long period of time. But last weekend, there were a number of more cases of infection that are linked to several nightclubs in Tromsø, says municipal chief physician Inger Holde Tandem.

In a press release earlier this week, the municipal superior asked people who had been to Heidi’s Bier Bar last weekend to test themselves.

– We now encourage everyone who has been to Heidi’s Bier Bar last Friday and Saturday, to get tested, whether they have symptoms or not.

According to VGs figures, three new infected people were registered in Tromsø municipality, and the trend in registered infected people is rising. 114 infections have been registered in Troms and Finnmark in the last two weeks.
