College diploma: dates, tests, protocol … Everything you need to know about the exam

The patent tests will take place on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 June. Four tests are on the program: French, mathematics, history-geography and science. To pass the exam, you must have more than 400 points out of the 800 in the diploma.

While their elders have started the baccalaureate exams, the 3rd year college students are preparing to take the the national diploma of the 2021 patent. The trials will take place Monday June 28 and Tuesday June 29. Those are 860,037 candidates across the country who will compose during the tests of French, mathematics, history-geography and sciences, specifies the Ministry of Education.

On the two days, the college students will participate in four tests lasting from one to three hours. Monday June 28, they will start with French. First, grammar, comprehension and dictation from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. then writing from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The afternoon will be devoted to mathematics from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The next day, in the morning (9 a.m. to 11 a.m.), students will work on history-geography and civic and moral education (EMC). They will end the day (1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.) with science.

An oral to pass

Patent applicants must also take an oral test. It is up to the establishments to set the date of the examination, between May 3 and June 29. Some have therefore already passed the test.

The college certificate is evaluated on 800 points. Half comes from continuous monitoring. The other half comes from the written and oral exams. French and mathematics are assessed on 100 points each and history-geography coupled with EMC, just like the sciences, count for 50 points each. Oral is assessed out of 100 points.

Applicants can earn additional points with optional education (Latin, Greek, a living language, etc.). They can hope to boost their rating by 20 extra points. To obtain the patent, it is enough to obtain 400 points out of the 800. The mention quite well is given between 480 points and 500 points. The mention good when the candidate obtains between 560 and 630 points out of 800, and finally the mention very good when the college student exceeds more than 640 points out of 800. The results will be published between July 6 and July 10.

Applicants should present themselves masked and will have to wash their hands several times with hydroalcoholic gele made available. The rooms will be regularly ventilated and disinfected.

Students unable to take the exams due to Covid-19 or other justified force majeure, will be able to participate in areplacement session. This will take place on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 September.
