Since July 2020, technical control centers are obliged to indicate their prices on the site prix-controle-technique.gouv.fr, launched by the government to respond to the “yellow vests” crisis. In Indre-et-Loire, if the prefecture ensures that the 83 centers are now all referenced, there are officially only 71 registered on the site. Others face administrative penalties, such as fines.
18 euros difference between the cheapest and the highest
Of those who have played the game, the most attractive price is found in Notre-Dame-d’Oé. The Auto Securitas center offers a technical control at 65 euros for a gasoline or diesel car. Conversely, the bill is highest in Bléré: 83 euros in the Val du Cher Contrôle center.
This difference of 18 euros is explained by the competition. In the agglomeration of Tours, given the number of centers, the prices charged are the lowest in the department. While in Bléré, there are only three within a radius of 19 kilometers. On average, it takes 75 euros for a technical control in Indre-et-Loire, 25 for a counter-visit. It is 12% more expensive than in 2018.
