+++++ USA FINANCIAL MARKET +++++
Friendly – The US stock market is heading for its best weekly result in over two months. Market participants cite US consumer sentiment as an example of improving data. Because according to the revision, it brightened more clearly than expected in June. At the same time, consumer inflation expectations fell. The overriding question about the timing of monetary tightening is once again not answered by current inflation data. The PCE deflator, which is primarily used by the Fed to determine inflation, picked up and in the core calculation climbed more clearly above the 3 percent mark in May. Overall, the key figure rose by 3.9 percent for the year and posted the highest increase since 2008. However, for the year and month, inflation was much weaker than expected. Traders see no immediate pressure on the Fed to act in the data, especially since personal expenses were lower than expected.
Nike’s strong fourth-quarter figures will be celebrated with a fireworks display. The share makes a good 13.9 percent upward. The online marketplace Ebay wants to increase the share buybacks planned for this year. The share gains 1.4 percent. The IT service provider Synnex increased profits and sales significantly compared to the previous year, but the price is trending 0.9 percent lower. The company announced lower sales for the current quarter. Progress Software are 1.6 percent weaker according to the quarterly report.
+++++ FINANCIAL MARKETS EUROPE +++++
Hardly changed – some pressure on the markets came from the auto and travel sectors. The business was described as calm overall. “Suzuki warns that the supply bottlenecks for semiconductors could last for a long time,” said one dealer. Daimler, BMW and VW lost up to 1.4 percent. Cars gave way on average by 0.7 percent. With a plus of 0.6 percent, the banking sector was doing quite well in the market. All institutes would have passed the most recent US stress test. Deutsche Bank shares gained 0.9 percent. Vallourec fell sharply by 8.6 percent to 8.22 euros. The reason was a capital increase. After good Nike figures, Adidas (+ 6.4%) and Puma (+ 2%) went up. In contrast, Deutsche Post (-0.9%) fell after a weak Fedex outlook. Hornbach Holding’s share price rose by a good 19 percent. The company now thinks that, in the best case scenario, EBIT could reach the previous year’s result again, after previously assuming a significant decline. Bike24 recorded a rather poor breakdown. The closing price was 15.30 and thus only slightly above the issue price of 15 euros. This was at the lower end of the original range between 15 and 19 euros.

+++++ FINANCIAL MARKETS EAST ASIA +++++
Friendly – Confidence in the economy created a friendly atmosphere. The stock exchanges followed their US counterparts with new closing records for the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite. There had been optimism that US President Joe Biden had announced an agreement with a group of senators for his planned hundreds of billion dollar infrastructure package. At the same time, worries smoldered before a tighter one Monetary policy and rising key interest rates continue to be in the background. The Nikkei index rose 0.7 percent. The stock exchanges in Shanghai and Hong Kong performed best with gains of up to 1.4 percent. Enough signatures for the Berlin referendum on Deutsche Wohnen
The Berlin citizens’ initiative “Expropriate Deutsche Wohnen & Co.” claims to have collected enough signatures for a referendum. Spokesman Rouzbeh Taheri said on Friday on RBB’s Inforadio that by Thursday afternoon more than 320,000 signatures had already been collected. “We have exceeded the record of previous referendums in Berlin,” said Taheri. “In any case, we made it – we can already see that.” To enforce a referendum, the initiative needs 175,000 valid signatures. If this is achieved, the Berliners can vote on the expropriation of large housing companies on September 26th.
