It hadn’t dragged on.
Friday, June 4, the very evening of the inauguration of the annual Place aux Arts exhibition, damage had been deplored by the municipal services of Fougères.
They concerned the so-called works of the Rooster and Little Man with the Moon Head.
After being rehabilitated, these sculptures of Richard Di Rosa, an internationally renowned artist, are about to be exhibited again in the Jardin Public.
The mayor, Louis Feuvrier, nevertheless decided to react and install video protection cameras in the public garden.
“The cost of these restorations weighs on the community and therefore on our fellow citizens. The cameras are there to guarantee their preservation “
The installation of these cameras is a temporary measure, limited to the duration of the exhibition which will end on September 19. Their number and location have not been specified.
“The Place aux Arts exhibition that we offer each year aims to make contemporary art accessible to all and we invite everyone to respect the garden and the works presented.”
These cameras complement those already installed on Place Saint-Léonard and at the entrance to the Jardin public.
